A FAMILY OWNED &  FAMILY RUN EVENTS VENUE

Find about about the people (and animals) behind your wedding…

We started opening up the barns and gardens of Preston Court Farm for weddings and events in 2008 and this was met with an overwhelmingly good response.  Being a very rare, family owned and run wedding venue we have complete dedication to the farm and take huge pride in each and every wedding.

We love to learn about the couples getting married in our woodland, so here is a little bit about us.

For a long time we dreamed of creating an enchanting woodland wedding venue in our idyllic hidden Kentish water meadow. The endless skies, the views, the sunsets, and the woodlands are so magnificent; we felt they resonated with our own desire to create a beautiful, natural venue.

As well as there being a Steam Museum on site, over the past 18 years we have held country shows attracting 30,000 people, music festivals, television shows, and photoshoots for high-end fashion brands. Despite all the excitement, the events we enjoy hosting the most are people’s big days.

Meet the Team

Our all girl wedding team of Emily, Charlotte, Tiggi, Susie and Anna are a close group who thrive from running weddings. We work late into the evenings and are up with the larks to ensure that each Wilderness Wedding runs perfectly.

We think they do, with the best attention to detail….some of our couples love the farm so much they come back years after to re-visit where they said they vows and to show their children their special place.

We cherish creating and hosting these hugely personal occasions and love meeting every couple and their family.

About the Farm

Over the past 10 years, we have been lucky enough to host some incredible weddings and events at our sister venue Preston Court.

Preston Court Farm stretches over 600 acres and comprises, ancient woodland, fishing lakes, streams, rivers, water meadows, ornamental ponds, landscaped gardens with rare Specimen trees, lawns, arable as well as many historic buildings including an ancient Saxon Church, a rare Gothic Oast House, The Granary, 17th century oak frame bans, stabling and the barnyard.

Meet our Family

Anna’s sisters have bred their own horses who live here on the farm. Izzy runs the Glamping Meadow, where we have accommodation for up to 34 people in gorgeous Bell and Emperor tents.

Anna’s parents, Lorna and Michael, bought the farm is 1979 and have lovingly restored many of its historic buildings.

We also love animals and have five dogs between the family, Angus the Scottie Dog, Donnie the Lurcher, Wilfie The Wonder Dog, Margot the naughty Dachshund and William the cuddly Border Terrier.  There’s also a flock of sheep, the legendary peacocks, Dave and Steve, and a brood of hens which roam freely around the farm.

We welcome you to come and look around the farm and even stay with us in one of Izzie’s beautiful Bell Tents in the Glamping Meadows.
