Escape & get back to nature
Places to tie the knot
Gather your loved ones & immerse yourselves in the wonderment of nature. You can legally marry outdoors here at The Boathouse on the lake or the Naked Tipi, surrounded by wildflowers, birds and butterflies. These areas are fully licensed for civil ceremonies.
There is no script and we encourage you to relax and feel at home here.

Sat overlooking the Wilderness pond within the Wilderness water meadow.

Rustic simplicity is what it’s all about if you choose to marry at the Naked Tipi. Handcrafted from Chestnut coppice, felled right here on the farm. This tranquil spot is right by the water, surrounded by wildlife & views across the Water Meadow.

Set in the Woodland Glade our sustainable treehouse is the perfect place for informal speeches, ambient daytime music. The treehouse is also licenced for intimate wedding ceremonies, of up to 40 guests. The views out across the meadow are not to be missed.
Taste of the day
In the heart of The Woodland Glade you will discover our Champagne Shack Bar – fully stocked with a full range of beers, spirits & liqueurs. Our wine list has been carefully curated and includes options from our favourite local growers; Simpsons, Chartham & Barnsole Vineyards. All within 15 miles of Preston Court Farm.
Glamping at The Wilderness
Sleep under the stars in a beautiful bell tent just a few strides away from the barnyard.
Then wake up with your family and friends in the glamping village. You can even extend your stay and have a small get together the next day.
Yes! Unlike many venues that only offer “blessings” outdoors, Wilderness Weddings offers fully licensed outdoor wedding ceremonies. You can legally say “I Do” at our architectural Boat House overlooking the lake or beneath our sustainable Naked Tipi. Both locations are approved by the Kent Kentish Ceremony registrars for civil partnerships and marriages.
A Naked Tipi wedding is a unique, rustic ceremony style where the wooden skeleton of a giant Kata tipi is left uncovered, allowing you to marry surrounded by nature while still having a wonderful structural focal point. Our Naked Tipi is handcrafted from chestnut coppice felled directly on our Kent estate, offering an eco-friendly and boho wedding ceremony aesthetic that is completely unique to our woodland venue.
Absolutely. While we specialize in outdoor lakeside weddings, we always have a “Plan B” that is just as beautiful. In the event of rain, ceremonies can be moved inside the Boat House & Chapel Tent, which can be fully sealed to keep your guests dry and warm without losing the stunning views of the water meadow. Alternatively, couples often choose to move their vows inside our giant interconnected Kata Tipis for a cozy, atmospheric woodland vibe.
Our licensed ceremony spaces, including the Boat House and the Naked Tipi, can comfortably accommodate up to 120 seated guests. For more intimate celebrations, our sustainable Treehouse is also licensed for smaller wedding ceremonies of up to 40 guests, providing an elevated view over the Kentish rewilding meadows.
Yes, we warmly welcome humanist and celebrant-led ceremonies. Many couples choose to have their legal civil ceremony in the morning and a personalized, free-spirited ceremony in the woodland glade or by the lake in the afternoon. Our “no-script” philosophy encourages you to tailor your vows to reflect your own story.
Our Preston Court venue
On the other side of the farm sits our sister venue, Preston Court, with an all together more eclectic feel, complete with a vintage fairground carousel.
Here you can marry on a medieval island surrounded by lily ponds with the backdrop of the Georgian Preston Court house, play games in the barnyard, dine in the majestic barn and dance your first dance outside beneath a canopy of 1000 of twinkling lights.
